Valentin Gruescu


teaches choir and orchestra conducting at the Music Academy in Bucharest. He is also the conductor of the orthodox priests’ choir of the Patriarchal Palace in Bucharest and of the “Bucharest Musicians” orchestra. He has an impressive vocal-symphonic and symphonic repertoire and concert career, both in Romania and abroad. He has been the conductor of the Ioan Cristu Danielescu Choir since 1984.

EDUCATION:
Conservatory of Music “Ciprian Porumbescu” from Bucharest (1972-1976) - (at present "National University of Music"-Bucharest) - graduation in Musical Composition and Conducting – 1976;
- Specialize in Musical Composition (1976-1977) with final examination in 1977;
- Scholarship in Rome (Italy) at Academy “Santa Cecilia” and “Accademia di Romania” (1985).
